When in Dundee, I was a Leader of the Crusaders' Union Bible Class (1972-75) and secretary of the Dundee & District Branch of Fact and Faith Films (1970-75)
When I was in Glasgow, I was secretary of the Baljaffray Residents' Association (1976-77) and a leader of the Bearsden Baptist Church Bible Class (1975 -77).
I was secretary of the Fact & Faith Films (Scotland) Liaison Committee and organising secretary of the Scottish Christian Film Conference (1973 to 1987).
I was a member of the S.H.H.D. Visit Scheme for H.M. Prison Dungavel from 1982 to 1988.
I was the Venue Convenor for the Hamilton Livelink to the Billy Graham Mission 89 in 1989.
I was the leader of the Hamilton Baptist CHurch Bible Class (1979 to 1992) and Sunday School Treasurer (1980 to 1992).
I was the expedition organiser for the 1st Hamilton Girls Brigade Company (1993 to 1998),
I was a Deacon in Hamilton Baptist Church from 1994 to 2008 and from 2009 to present. I was the Church Secretary from 1999 to 2008 and from 2011 to the present.
I was the Project Co-ordinator for the Scripture Union Lanarkshire Staffworker Project (1990 to 1999).
I was a Director of the Towpath Trust (from 1999 to 2004) which, through the Glasgow Neurodome Project, attempted to bring together the medical charities associated with neurological conditions, in association with the Relieve Scotland (which runs the MS Therapy Centre in Glasgow) and Glasgow Council.
