Introduction and Index

The God who said, 'Out of darkness the light shall shine!' is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts, to bring us the knowledge of God's glory shining in the face of Christ. - 2 Corinthians 4 v 6

God showed his love for us by sending his only Son into the world, so that we might have life through him. This is what love is: it is not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the means by which our sins are forgiven. - John 4 v 9 - 1

So then, my brothers, because of God's great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship you should offer. Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God - what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect. - Romans 12 v 1 - 3

Thank you, Lord God my Father, that the light of your love shines on me and, more than that, shines in my heart!

Thank you for showing just how much you love me by sending your Son Jesus into the world to deal with my sins once and for all on the cross.

I haven't loved you as I should. Please help me to respond to your great love by devoting myself to you and to serving others. Give me something of your love and your patience and compassion as I try to be more helpful to the people I meet. Teach me to value them because of your love for them and help me to introduce them to you.
