Introduction and Index

The Lord says, "Let my people return to me. Remove every obstacle from their path! Build the road, and make it ready! I am the high and holy God, who lives for ever. I live in a high and holy place, but I also live with people who are humble and repentant, so that I may restore their confidence and hope...

"I will heal them. I will lead them and help them, and I will comfort those that mourn. I offer peace to all, both near and far! I will heal my people." - Isaiah 57 v 14, 15, 18 & 19

The Lord says, "I have swept your sins away like a cloud, Come back to me; I am the one who saves you." - Isaiah 44 v 22

Turn to the Lord and pray to him, now that he is near. Let the wicked leave their way of life and change their way of thinking. Let them turn to the Lord, our God; he is merciful and quick to forgive. - Isaiah 55 v 6 -7

Let us praise God for his glorious grace, for the free gift he gave us in his dear Son! For by the sacrificial death of Christ we are set free, that is, our sins are forgiven. How great is the grace of God, which he gave us in such large measure! - Ephesians 1 v 6-8

God in heaven, I know you are holy, that you hate sin and evil. Equally well, I know how bad I am. I am rotten through and through. Even the best things I do are tainted by my sin.

Lord, I would not dare come near you but for the fact that your Son, Jesus, has invited me. So I come. I come repenting of all the wrong I have thought and said and done. I come, making no excuses. Please receive me. Please do not look at my sin, but look at , the Cross at Calvary and at what your Son did for me there. Then receive me because of his goodness and his death in my place. Please forgive my feeble faith, my lack of real love.

Because of Jesus and of what he has done for me, forgive my sins. Make me clean within. Set me free.
