Introduction and Index

The Lord says, 'I have swept your sins away like a cloud. Come back to me; I am the one who saves you.' - Isaiah 44 v 22

The Lord says, I am the God who forgives your sins, and I do this because of who I am. I will not hold your sins against you.' Isaiah 43 v 25

Turn to the Lord and pray to him, now that he is near. Let the wicked leave their way of life and change their way of thinking. Let them turn to the Lord, our God; he is merciful and quick to forgive. - Isaiah 55 v 6- 7

Let us praise God for his glorious grace, for the free gift he gave us in his dear Son! For by the sacrificial death of Christ we are set free, that is, our sins are forgiven. How great is the grace of God, which he gave us in such large measure! - Ephesians 1 v 6 - 8

Thank you, my Father, for forgiving my sins. I know that this forgiveness is completely free and costs me nothing - that it is a gift from you and something I could never earn - but I can never forget at what horrendous cost it was purchased for me by your Son, my Saviour. I can hardly dare think about what he went through on that Cross on Calvary, to pay the price of my sin so that I might be forgiven. If that cross is indeed the measure of your love for me, words cannot express the debt of gratitude I owe you. Not as I ought, but as I am able, I thank you for your love, for your forgiveness, for the fact that for Jesus' sake you have both forgiven and forgotten all the wrong I have done. Please receive the thanks I offer you now in Jesus' name.
